Committee Minutes
Regular Meeting
September 27th, 2005

7:00 PM

Attending Members: Mike Harnad, Mike Pinatti, Joseph Colangelo, Ed Taiman, and Bob Portello.   John Sahi was also in attendance.
Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM. (NOTE: This meeting was held at the RRAC site to review site work progress to date and work that can be done before winter.)

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The minutes from the previous WRC meeting were reviewed.  Mike Harnad made a motion to approve the minutes, which was seconded by Ed Taiman.  All members were unanimous in approval.

GENERAL DISCUSSION:
The recording/posting of Agendas and Minutes were discussed.  The WRC will attempt to have all past meeting Agendas and Minutes available to the General Public via our Town Web-site.
Referee’s for the upcoming Basketball season must be located as soon as possible.
John Sahi will request that the Knights install the sign at the RRAC if possible.
Archery “coaching” courses may be made available by the WRC in the near future.
The infield at the Town Hall Offices is in bad disrepair, and will need some attention previous to winter in preparation for spring.
DIRECTORS REPORT:
There was no Directors Report tonight.

OLD BUSINESS:
The RRAC is presently rough graded in the area of the baseball field.  Following final grading it will be ready for gravel and topsoil.  If this work can be done in early spring we may be able to seed the area for late spring.
The WRC calendar for October required that we prepare for the Recreational Basketball program.  Shirts, referees and coaches will be our priority.  A handout for the schools will be prepared including the regular season sign up, and clinic.  The clinic will be held in two sessions on the 12th of November.  The regular season will begin on the 3rd of December.  Cost of participation will be $45.00 per player.  The instructional teams will have a reduced cost per player.

NEW BUSINESS:
It was suggested that a Bocci court be constructed at the RRAC and Town Office fields.  The courts would be available to all residents, but most importantly, a league would be developed for seniors.
John Sahi will request a Town Meeting to discuss funding for the RRAC.

ADJOURNMENT:
There was a motion made by Joseph Colangelo to adjourn, which was seconded by Bob Portell0.
